Frances Nickerson, 66, of Notre-Dame-De-Ile-Perrot, QC. Died on December 15th 2023. Frances was the only child and daughter of Reginald Nickerson and Verna Larkin; she was the loving wife of Jean-Guy Fontaine. She passed away on December 15th at the Vaudreuil-Soulange Palliative care Residence in Hudson, QC after a long battle with cancer and neurological complications.  She is survived and will be greatly missed by her husband Jean-Guy Fontaine and her son Philip Fontaine.

Frances was a devoted loving mother of two children, Philip Fontaine and the late Stephanie Fontaine, who passed away in 2013 also due to cancer. Frances was a deeply loving person to her family and had a strong will. She was never afraid to fight for her rights and the rights of her loved ones. She was a very insightful individual and a true freethinker, she raised her children with similar values and instilled in them to be critical thinkers. She also was a very creative and curious individual who loved to craft, knit, read, write and play scrabble.

She will be deeply missed by her family and daughter-in-law. As per her wishes, no service will be held, she will be cremated and kept alongside her daughter’s urn with the family.
