It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Madeleine Lacasse, beloved wife of Robert Roy Hennessy for 57 years. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by much love with her family by her side, February 13th, 2026, at the age of 83, in the city of Pointe‑Claire. She is now reunited with her parents, the late Damase Lacasse and the late Rosa Bilodeau, as well as her brother Gérard and her sisters Fernande and Fleurette.
She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband and by her daughters Karen (Sylvain), Shawna, and Kimberly (Edoardo); her cherished grandchildren Riley (William), Lilyrose, Logann, and Alessandro; her sister Denise; her brother Albert; her nieces and nephews; as well as many other family members and friends.
Madeleine, known to many as Mady, was a caring and devoted wife, a supportive and cherished sister, the most loving and nurturing mother, the best Nana ever, and a dear and loyal friend.
She will be remembered for her fierce devotion to her family, her warmth and generosity, her attentiveness, her guidance and unwavering support. She loved fashion, and her elegance and sense of style were undeniable—no occasion was too small to dress to the nines.
Her wisdom and strength inspired us all. She was the compass and anchor that united our family. She reminded us to live, love, and laugh to the fullest, to dream boldly, and to reach for the stars. She believed in us, even during moments when we sometimes doubted ourselves.
She was our greatest champion—especially for her four grandchildren, who were her pride and joy, her “entire world,” as she so often said. She loved them to infinity and beyond.
Her memory lives on in our hearts. Her spirit and grace will forever light our way. It is a different world without her. She will be forever loved and forever missed.
Her close family will gather privately to honor her memory.
