Mrs. Joanne Rizzuto (nee Young)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Rizzuto (nee Young) on April 11, 2025, at the age of 77.

Daughter of the late George Young and Bernadette Lepage, she will be deeply missed by her devoted husband of 54 years, Joseph Rizzuto, her loving children Mark (Karina) and Lynn (Ryan), and her cherished grandchildren, David and Erika. She also leaves behind her sister Susan, extended family, and many dear friends.

Joanne lit up every room with her warm smile, generous heart, and vibrant spirit. She had a special gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved. Her closest friendships spanned decades.

She lived a beautiful and full life: from her years residing in Saudi Arabia, Italy, and England to travels around the world, always embracing new adventures, and well-earned comforts. She built a warm and welcoming home, hosted frequent dinners, and created countless cherished memories with the people she cared for.

Joanne passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends.

Her legacy of kindness, compassion and joyful presence will continue to inspire and carry on through all of us.

Her life will be celebrated on May 10th, 2025 at the Saint-Lazare Church (1980 Chemin Ste Angélique) . The family will receive condolences beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. A light reception will be held afterward in the church hall, where friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honour her life together.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Cancer Research Society would be appreciated.
