Vaudreuil-Dorion

1935 – 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ghislaine Collet, who left us on October 4th, 2025. Born on August 1st, 1935 in Shawinigan, Quebec, Ghislaine was a teacher who inspired her students and her family alike. Through her kindness, selflessness, warmth, perseverance, and unconditional love, Ghislaine led by example, and was cherished deeply by those around her.

Ghislaine will be remembered for her love of life; her green thumb and breathtaking garden, her beautiful singing voice and love of music, her incredible baked goods, her dutiful hosting skills, and above all, her love and devotion to her family.

Ghislaine will forever be loved and remembered by her children, Peter Fiset (Julianna Browne), Michael Fiset, Karen Fiset (Jean-Nil Rioux); her sister, Diane Collet (Martin Pettet); her grandchildren, Livia Fiset, Annalicia Rioux (Robert Greffard), Melanie Rioux, Jennifer Rioux, Savannah Fiset (Kaleb McKenzie), Nathaniel Fiset; her great-grandchildren Blake Altiner, Elisabelle Greffard, George Greffard; and her nephews Michel Larichelière and Francis Larichelière.

A ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Maison Funéraire Roussin in Vaudreuil-Dorion (12 Av. Saint-Charles, Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC, J7V 2K4).

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, Ghislaine’s memory lives on in all of us.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Parkinson Canada (https://www.parkinson.ca) would be appreciated.
