Passed away on August 21st, 2023, at the Montreal Neurology Institute, at the age of 71. Spouse of Mrs. Lucette Hivon by whom he shall be greatly missed, he had first been married to the late Mrs. Micheline Gaudreault. Other than his wife Lucette, he leaves to mourn his children Sébastien (Karine), Annie (Maxime), Maude (Jonathan) and Émilie, his grandchildren, his brother Serge (Hélène), his sisters Michèle (Jean) and Luce (Richard), his sister-in-law Jocelyne, his nieces and nephews as well as many more family members and friends.

Qualified as an actuary in 1978, he has spent most of his career in the actuarial consulting field, specializing in group benefits and pension plans. Before building a successful career of his own from 2012 as an Actuarial Evidence Expert, he was Principal Senior Consultant and National Retirement Practice Leader for ACS Buck Consultants in Montreal.

From the start of his career, he was a very active volunteer for the Canadian Institute of Actuaries assuming different functions and becoming its President in 2006/07.

In 2011, he is awarded Alumni of the Year from the Faculty of Arts and Science of the University of Montreal for his career achievements, social involvement, and active support of the Mathematical Sciences and development of the Actuarial program.

According to his wishes, no Funeral service will be held.
