Surrounded by his family and friends, on July 25th 2024, passed away Mr. Jay-R Abaya, beloved husband of Mia, father of Jayden, Brennan, Ysabelle and Aliyah. Son of Rey and Fely, Brother of Joy and brother-in-law of Pj, Uncle of Pio and Pia. Nephew/son of Severina. Son-in-law of Logy and Maria Fe, brother-in-law of Val (Ronnel and their daughter Yukie) as well as many more family members and friends.

Reading this article filled me with both sadness and gratitude — sadness for the loss of someone clearly cherished by many, and gratitude for the reminder of how precious life and connection truly are. Moments like these make me reflect on how important it is to take care of ourselves and the people we love, both emotionally and physically. Healing after loss takes time, compassion, and support, just as recovery from emotional pain or hardship does. Whether through community, reflection, or therapy, finding peace after such loss is a journey we all face in different ways.
