Loving, compassionate son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, Jacques Belec passed away on October 14th after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.A native of Timmins, Ontario, and a graduate of the University of Western Ontario.Jacques joined the Montreal Alouettes Football club in 1954.Jacques went to work in television as a sports commentator while working in the insurance business.After 40 years with The London Life Insurance Company, he successfully formed his own company and continued in the business for another decade.
Jacques is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn, of 49 years and his children: Liane (Robert), Philip (Anna) and Danielle and his four grandsons: Tom, Ben, Sam and Philippe-Jacques (PJ).
A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
