Julie Cadieux, A Life of Love, Laughter, and Legacy

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Julie Cadieux, beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend, on June 1st, 2025, at 9:05 AM. She was 50 years old.

Julie was the center of our world, the one who built our family, our home, and a life grounded in love, laughter, and compassion. She was married to Daniel for 25 years and stood beside him for 35. Together, they raised three remarkable children, Jacob now 27, Zachary 25, and Chloe 22, each of them carrying forward the love, creativity, and values Julie lived by.

Julie was, in every sense, a mom. She set the standard. She was selfless, thoughtful, and endlessly caring. She remembered every small detail, filled the house with favorite snacks, and never stopped checking in to see how everyone else was doing. She packed lunches, baked birthday cakes, made tea and dessert, and always had chocolates tucked in her office to bring a little joy to those who dropped in. She made every holiday special, hiding Easter eggs, choosing gifts with care, bringing magic into every celebration. She never rested until everyone, and everything was taken care of. She put everyone first.

She built a home filled with warmth, light, and love, and she did the same in her career.

Julie’s professional journey was one of quiet determination and extraordinary growth. At one point, she paused her own ambitions to follow Daniel’s career to Pennsylvania, putting herself on hold to support their young family. But even then, she never stopped creating, writing, blogging, decorating, and finding beauty in everything around her. When the family returned to Canada, she began rebuilding her career: writing for a local paper, working at a bookstore, and gradually stepping into the world of marketing and content creation. Through hard work and quiet perseverance, she rose quickly, first in agency work, and eventually finding a home at Genetec, a company she deeply admired and where she truly thrived.

Julie was Daniel’s everything. The first person he saw every morning, the one who fell asleep on his chest every night. She gave him strength, purpose, and love beyond measure. As he put it: “You were my life, my guiding light, my partner in everything. I don’t know how I’ll go on without you, but I’ll try to fill your shoes, to continue what you started, and to make sure you are never forgotten.”

Julie leaves behind her husband Daniel; her children Jacob, Zachary, and Chloe; her beloved dogs Blue and Typo; and her father, Paul Cadieux. She was predeceased by her mother, Manon, earlier this year. Julie is also deeply mourned by her extended family, friends, and colleagues, all of whom will carry her memory with love.

A memorial will be held on June 21st, 2025, at Maison Funéraire Roussin, located at 1934 Chemin Ste-Angélique, Saint-Lazare, QC J7T 2Y7, from 11am to 3 p.m. Following the memorial, all are invited to the family’s home, her home, to celebrate Julie in the place she loved most. Her home was her sanctuary, her masterpiece. It was where she poured her heart into every detail and welcomed all with open arms.

Julie was taken far too soon. It is too early. It is unfair. But her love endures, in every hug, in every act of kindness, in every story we tell and memory we share.

As Jacob said: “I miss you, Mom. I hope you are up there somewhere, and that I can continue to make you proud.”

As Zachary wrote: “She made our house a home and welcomed everyone with open arms.”

And for Chloe, Julie was so much more than a mother, she was her best friend and confidante. They shared everything: laughs, advice, quiet moments, and shopping trips filled with joy. Chloe had always imagined shopping for a wedding dress one day with her mom by her side. Though that moment will now come differently, her mother’s presence, love, and laughter will never be far from her heart.

We would love to hear your stories, memories, and moments with Julie. If you have something to share, whether it’s big or small, please reach out. Your words will help us remember, grieve, and celebrate the incredible woman she was. You can email us at danouimet@gmail.com

We will speak her name. We will tell her stories. We will cry. We will laugh. And we will remember.

She was everything.
