It is with profound sadness that we share the news of John Bragg’s passing on April 8^th, 2026 at the Royal Victoria Hospital after a long battle with multiple myeloma. We thank everyone for their love and support during his prolonged journey, where he faced exceptional challenges and demonstrated incredible resilience, strength, and hope – one day at a time.

In life, John valued his family and spending time together above all else. As he took his last breaths, he was surrounded by his wife Jackie and their children Emma, Olivia, and Lily; moments that will be cherished by them forever and ever.

Born in Pointe-Claire on September 8^th, 1964 to Elizabeth Eady and Charles Bragg, John was the youngest of their six children. As an alumnus of Concordia University and with a career in government relations, John was a respected presence who left a lasting impression on those he met throughout his life.

We are incredibly grateful to have shared so much love, laughter and happy memories with John, and to have been enveloped by his kindness, his comfort, and his humour.

We would like to thank Dr. Michael Sebag and his team for their efforts over the last seven years in managing the disease and giving John access to all available options until the end. We are equally thankful to Dr. Tiina Podymow and everyone at the dialysis unit for their dedication and care. Lastly, we’d like to acknowledge and extend kind thanks to the many other healthcare providers who joined John’s circle of care throughout the years.

To honour John’s memory, in lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donating to Myeloma Canada. Your generosity would give other Canadians living with multiple myeloma more time to access new treatments, more time to benefit from cutting-edge research, and more time to create memories and live their lives to the fullest.

We hope those who knew and loved John will be able to join us in celebrating his life and legacy on Sunday, April 26th, 2026, from 5-10pm for John Bragg's Farewell Tour a the Saint-Lazare Community Center, 1301 Rue du Bois, Saint Lazare, Quebec J7T 3E6. Food and drinks will be served as we share memories and stories of John.  Doors open at 5pm and "odes" to John will begin at 6pm. Come as you are...but if you decide to wear a soccer jersey, it better be Tottenham Hotspurs!!
