Lillian Mary Brazeau (born Adamchick), 90, of Elmsdale NS, resident of Île Perrot, QC since August 2017, passed away in the Glen hospital of Montreal on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. She was born on August 3rd, 1928 in Otter Lake, QC to Michael Adamchick and Alvina Gauthier of Otter Lake. She married René Brazeau (deceased in 2009) in July of 1949. Together they raised 5 children travelling and living in many different locations throughout Eastern Canada. They were members of Saint Bernard’s Church in Elmsdale for over 3 decades and Lillian was an honour member of the CWL (Catholic Women’s League) and active in the Parish and community. She believed in family and insisted on our loyalty to and love for each other; she not only held her children together but also, constantly reached out to her cousins, brothers and sisters and their children – no mean feat since she was one of ten children. Lillian is survived by: her brothers: Larry, Andy and David and her sister Evelyn; her children: Gloria, Angela (Louis), Christopher (Mary), James (Joyce) and Maria; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The memorial service will be at Saint Bernard’s Church in Enfield, Nova Scotia, 253 Highway #2 at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 6, 2019; preceding this on Friday evening visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the church.

"There's peace in the promise that life is everlasting."

We will always have fond memories of Lillian. She was beautiful on the outside - a cheerful smile, twinkling eyes and stunning hairdo! Inside was a warm heart full of love and concern for others, thinking of their comfort before her own.

She is at peace now with our heavenly Father.

Take care - God Bless

Brian and I are very sad to hear of your Mam’s passing. We will miss seeing her when we visit. We were very fond of her and looking forward to meeting her again.
We will always remember her fondly, her gentle, smiling, lovely personality.

You must have many wonderful memories. As time goes on, and on every occasion the memories of her will come flooding back

My mam was 91 years too when she passed away. We’d like to hold on to them for just a little longer no matter what age they are, and of course your mam was so sprightly and young at heart. Brian was telling us she used to make lunch when they visited her. Wasn’t she wonderful.

De: Lillian's children: Gloria, Angela, Christopher, James and Maria

We will remember our mother's warmth and her determination. She was strong and caring, and demonstrated an unconditional love of her family. We, our children and grandchildren will each cherish the special relationships enjoyed with her over the years.

As the eldest of ten children, Mom regularly contacted her brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces and nephews scattered across North America showing genuine concern and love for each one and their loved ones; and she consistently checked in on us. She was our anchor and our comfort.

Aunt Lillian.......a gracious, elegant woman. I was only able to see her twice in the last 35 years but she would call regularly. Just speaking with her would make you calm and want to be a better person. She loved her family and I consider her to be someone we would all aspire to be. No one can deny her grace. Her passing hurts deeply. Thank you Aunt Lillian for all of the love you shared with me and my family. Know Uncle René was waiting for you with that smile that would light up a room....yes I remember. Such a gentle man. Take care Aunt Lillian and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the love. I will truly miss you so. -Renee

Aunt Lillian will be greatly missed but there is solace in knowing the she is with Uncle Rene and her beloved family in heaven. She always found time to call us "kids" in Texas to let us know how much she loved us. She was loved very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with all my cousins and their families.

De: Marie McKeen

My sincere condolences to Lillian's family on her passing.

Lillian and Rene were familiar faces at St. Bernard's Church for many years.
